We are an independently owned practice, which means every decision, from the brands we stock to the way we conduct an appointment, reflects our own standards rather than a corporate directive. Our frame collection is hand-selected, with a focus on independent ateliers, artisanal Japanese makers, and globally recognised design houses that you will not find in a chain optical store. Appointments are unhurried, and our team takes the time to understand your prescription, your lifestyle, and what you are looking for before making any recommendation.

We offer comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and myopia management for children. Our in-house optical lab allows us to cut and fit lenses on-site for faster turnaround. We also carry a curated range of premium eyewear from leading international brands, with prescription lenses supplied by Carl Zeiss, Hoya, Tokai, and Essilor.

Yes. Our qualified optometrists provide comprehensive eye examinations using up-to-date diagnostic technology. As registered optometrists, they assess not just your prescription but the overall health of your eyes. We also offer contact lens fittings and myopia management consultations for children (Chatswood only). Please contact us to arrange an appointment at either of our locations.

We work with four of the world's leading lens suppliers: Carl Zeiss, Hoya, Tokai, and Essilor. Each offers a range of single vision, progressive, and specialty lens options. Our team will recommend the most suitable lens for your prescription, lifestyle, and frame choice.

Most glasses are ready within 1 to 3 business days, thanks to our in-house lens edging lab. Prescriptions requiring custom-ordered lenses, such as high-index or specialty options, typically take up to two weeks. We will give you a clear timeframe when you place your order.
-
Yes. Progressive lenses provide a seamless transition between distance, intermediate, and near vision in a single lens, with no visible line. We fit progressives using the latest lens technology from our partners Carl Zeiss, Hoya, Tokai, and Essilor, ensuring accurate prescription delivery, a wide field of vision, and a comfortable adaptation for first-time and experienced progressive wearers alike.

Yes, we can fill a current prescription issued by another optometrist. Please note that we are not able to take responsibility for the accuracy of an external prescription or any visual outcome resulting from it. If your prescription is more than two years old, or if you have any concerns about your vision, we recommend booking an eye examination with one of our optometrists first.

We are only able to service frames purchased through Ocular & Eyes. Because every frame is designed and manufactured differently, with its own tolerances, materials, and fitting specifications, servicing a frame we are not familiar with increases the risk of damage. We want the best outcome for every customer, and in most cases that means having your frames seen to by the retailer who knows them best. We are always happy to help you find a new pair if you need one.

Yes. All of our sunglass frames can be fitted with prescription lenses. Through our lens partners, Carl Zeiss, Hoya, Tokai, and Essilor, we offer a wide range of tinting options including solid tints, graduated tints, polarised lenses, and photochromic lenses that adapt to changing light. We are also able to match the tint colour of an existing lens, whether from a frame in our store or one you already own, so the colour stays true across both pairs. Our team will help you find the right combination for your prescription and how you intend to use them.
